For moms that have decided to stay at home?

How many of you are struggling with the fact that you no longer contribute to the household income? Are you constantly finding that managing the household expensences on the new budget is like trying to redo a kitchen with $500.00...nearly impossible? I would just love to hear if I am in good company. I am now at home and I find that the struggle is never ending. I do work from home but with my focus on the children (8 year old girl and 5 month old boy) the income that I bring in now is not even taxable yet. With six years of single parenting I thought that I would be prepared to live on this income but this is the first year that I truly could only spend $25.00 on my daughters birthday gifts. Thank God for cheesy stores like Claires and her love for "long earrings".

Double strollers?

If any of you parents-to-be and/or new parents are wanting to know what double strollers to purchase, I would recommend the Phil and Teds. I have two boys, one whom is just 16 months and the other - 2 months, and we have just purchased the Phil and Teds Sport. I love this stroller. It's an alll-terrain, 4-in-1 stroller, easy to manuever, goes on everything anything and more importantly, goes through narrow aisles. Everytime I take my two boys out, I get so much attention and so many questions about this stroller. And my oder son loves this stroller as well. Should I get a skateboard or Inline Skates?

ADHD and ADD? since when do you need medication to be a normal little kid?

okay, to start off, i DO believe that there are children who really have ADHD and ADD...but i've been noticing higher and higher numbers of kids being diagnosed ADHD and ADD who are perfectly normal little kids...little kids run around and make lots of noise...they jump on things, make messes, shout, cry, play, and all sorts of things...they don't like to do things like school work, and chores...that's just part of being a freaking kid...seriously, it seems like parents nowadays are just like "hey, i can't them b/c i'm afraid of child services, and time out doesn't work, so i'll just pump em full of meds and all will be fine"...but it just makes more kids grow up thinking that life isn't life without a pill for this and a pill for that...most of the little kids i see on these medications are perfectly normal kids...they misbehave...it's just a kid thing...i dunno...i'm afraid to have kids because now schools are forcing parents to put their kids on the meds as well...

I'm a mixed African-American teenager (16) and I recently received a compliment stating that I am "Very quiet, articulate, and approachable". Of course this is a very nice thing to say, and the very same thing has been said to me many times before. Yes, no problem because they are all separate programs after all and you havent got any copy of Access on in the Home edition of 2007 which could conflict. I have pro versions of 2007, 2003 and 2002 on the same computers though have installed them into separate subfolders within the programs folder and then actually named them Word 2002, Word 2003, Word 2007 etc so I don't get muddled..

My son's little friend gave him a pet frog, because they had like 4 of them and didn't want all of them. We have him in a aquarium, with mulch on the bottom, and a dish for water since I think he is semi aquatic. He has a little half log type thing to go under, which is where he is most of the time. We have been buying crickets at the pet store for him to eat. The past couple of days, he has seemed sick I think. I even tried to move him around a little, and he barely moved his legs but didn't jump or anything like he usually would if someone touched him. My husband said he thinks maybe there isn't enough warmth for the frog (I should mention we have the aqaurium on an end table about 4 feet from the front door). I am not experienced with taking care of animals, as I am not fond of pets in general. To be honest, I can't even keep plants alive. But now I am confused as to why she would do this. I think her mother might approach her about the subject, and I am a little anxious to see how she will respond. Ok so i have been full fleged dieting since june and lost a a total of 125lbs so far.I am 15 and have a severe calorie restriction problem.So this weekend is my sisters 21st b day and i already knew therer would be alcoholic beverages and yes i know you say your only 15 but my mom lets me do it and i am very smart with how much i drink and how i act. so i am completely worried about it all week because im worride about not exercising and gaining weight from that plus the alcohol i planned on drinking.But i didnt expect the food to come.I had planned on just eating my normal healthy foods.But having a drink after a whole day of not eating turned into me completely starving and the first words out of my mouth was TACO BELL so i had a nachos supreme and a chalupa supreme followed by a large Dairy queen reindeer bites blizzard and i ate it ALL.I feel like im such a fat and i feel horrible.Only worse is tomorrow is when i was planning on eating not the best because thats when we were going out to dinner for her b day and my sister had already agreed on applebees so that i could have something of the weight watchers menu and i was fine with not eating all day so i could enjoy this meal even though it was a good choice.So my sister really had been wanting to go to this mexican place for her b day but being the good sister she was she wanted me to be able to eat to but guess what else happens in this night....I go why dont we just go out to mexican i dont really care if i gain a few pounds this weekend after a 3lbs loss this week.So know after a little while sleeping the liquor off and waking up feeling sick from the food and completely guilty i ask myself what should i do about tomorrow....not eat at all or eat and feel more guilty.My mom kept telling me all evening that i deserve a weekend of rest from exercise and certainly deserve of weekend of splurging and may i tell you i didnt even eat on thanksgiving at all so she keeps saying youll be fine you dont eat enough and exercise to much.But i feel so afraid of gaining weight. Some people are small..that's just how they were born,.you may develop more later..ya never know! I have friends who are smaller than I am..but,I found out that even though men looove ..they also tend to NOT care all of the time..they love the person who is "inside" of you..it's not just your body!! It's "the whole package!!" And..you may begin to get larger as time progresses! My old best friend was "short" and "cute" in high school..she was short and cute for years and years..and then, out of the blue! Lo and behold!! She grew..and grew..and she is soooo much taller than I am!! I used to call her "shortie!" Big mistake..she got me back..I learned that I did NOT like that at all!! A friend of mine ripped this disc for me a long time back, the other day i was browsing through it`s properties and unfortunately was dissappointed to find that it had been ripped in WMA 64Kbps. I`m aware that Wma is a good format but not with the level of 64kbps, because i`m the type of person that believes only in WAV. when ripping audio to my pc.I`m curious if there is any way i could regain audio quality maybe encoding this album to wav. or maybe higher WMA settings. If not! then is there any program out there that could actually do this or is it the old clic that no audio quality can be re-stored once a file has undergone a compression of some sort? I don't believe in calling someone a sellout just because everyone chooses to live their life a certain way. I can't really relate to seeing things in the ghetto because I never grew up in that type of area but I can say, it bothers me when I see people not doing anything with their life. How come my laptop shuts off after about 2 hours of usage?

I think that it is an overheating problem considering my laptop (ONLY recently) seems to be getting very hot, to the point it needs to shut down. But this is the strange thing: I had Windows Vista installed on this laptop (Acer Aspire 5100) earlier, and my battery almost never heated up to the point it needed to shut down, or even heat up to an extreme level.... But now that I have downgraded to Windows XP SP2, it seems to shut down MUCH more often. But I did find one thing of concern. Around the same time my laptop started shutting down, I installed an application called 'Game Speed Changer' and that whenever I had used it, it slowed my computer down immensely, and then when I went to close it, the BSOD would appear. Every time. Any insight to my problem is greatly appreciated... I would love to have this fixed before I go back to school! Thank you. (Notes taken on Laptop)

I am the same way, if I don't exercise I get in a mood, and work stresses me out more etc. I understand that you are probably running more after you and your gf split up. It is a way to relieve stress. At least you aren't smoking excessively, drinking or using drugs to relieve the stress. Running is healthy. I would never discourage it. Just make sure you try not to over do it. Or change things up a bit, by doing some other form of exercise. After a while, running does put a lot of pressure on your knees. What I want to do is have my own small farm to raise goats, cows, chickens, etc and work for a larger food company that I can supply to. Is this possible and can I make at least a middle - upper middle cl salary?

A friend of ours who is a christian surprised me other day when she did not want her daughter to wear a Bindi for a group dance while the other girls( incidentally all hindus) would do it. I wonder why she could object even for a 5 min. dance with a bindi. I did not ask her this as it might be a sensitive matter to her. Big friend drama problems?

iam going to be a freshman this year . My 8th grade year i was bestfriends with these 2 sisters , they were twins . But , their other friends didnt really like me , only a few did . I need help improving my singing range?

Ok I'm only 14 but I need to improve my vocal range, I am in a choir and I sing anything from the higher tenor notes, all the way to the really high soprano and I've never had any problems, but now I'm a lead singer in a band and they are getting frustrated because I can't hit the notes such as like Livin' on a Prayer by Bon Jovi without going into head voice... Sims 2 University - remodelled house but environment gone down?!?

I don't like the way the houses are pre-designed when I play Sims 2 so when I go to play someone I usually redesign their house. On Sims 2 University I have gone to the L'Academie place and redmodelled the house for Max and Mitch Friends so that they are living in the same house (I am going to move Mitch out as Max wants to start a fraternity) but in the main living area their environment is really low and I dont know why?! Four months ago I started walking every day and have built up some stamina. How many cups of frozen, thawed strawberries do I need to equal 3 cups fresh strawberries?

The recipe I want to use to make strawberry jam calls for 3 cups "prepared" strawberries, or about 3 pints fully ripe strawberries. I have a ton of frozen strawberries in the freezer and the produce where I live isn't all that great so I'd like to not waste money on fresh strawberries when half of them are going to be going bad anyway. you might wanna get a second opinion from another pediatrician that could help. isn't it dengue? eitherway, it could be from cow's milk. thats what happened to my son. since i dont feed, his first milk was SIMILAC and there he developed allergy from cow's milk then we shifted to ISOMIL which is a soy milk there he was better but he's got a hard poo. so now for 6 months we used NAN H.W a hyrolized protein from cow's milk. it makes difference from ordinary cow's milk.
