Should I get a skateboard or Inline Skates?

I am not looking for any to do tricks; just for the cruise and transport. I am stuck between the two but leaning more into choosing inline skates as I generally know they are faster on flat ground. As for a skateboard, it's more portable and handy on the way to go about places from point A to point B as compared to inline skates where you have to sacrifice some time to change into your shoes. What do you guys think? considering that I am a speed demon, I want to take the one that's faster of the two.
