Explain that you want to contact your family. Tell your mother what happened. She must listen to you. She should understand. If anything comes first, it's your family. Make things better for them, go and visit your mum, or send her a present, show her that you care. Don't forget your fiancee's family, be thankful for their hospitality, but tell them that you're ready to move on and sort things out with your mum.
