What is the best handheld GPS for approx. $150?

I'm looking for a birthday present for this weekend so if you have some tips of physical stores in the phoenix area that I could shop at that would be very helpful too. It is for general use around the city maybe some camping, mostly the coolest gadget for that price- it's for a bit of a tech nerd.
