Do you value the contribution drugs have made to culture?

Drugs have had a mive impact on culture. Great works have art have been created by those on drugs. In music, for example, most universally recognised works of genius in the past 100 years (Rolling Stones, David Bowie, Bob Dylan, The Beatles to name but a few) and quite a few from Art music before this have been created whilst on or influenced by drugs. Surely then we can only conclude that drugs have had a valuable contribution to our culture?
