What’s with this America’s Team bit?

Hate much? America's Team is a phrase coined by someone working for the NFL years ago. The Dallas Cowboys did NOT come up with that name. It was given to them and Tom Landry rejected it because he knew it would incite other teams to play angry. However, the nickname stuck in the media and then the Cowboys adopted it. That's what's up.
