Board Game??? Stupid Idea?

Okay so we all know games like taboo, monopoly sorry etc. And quite frankly those games are boring the mess out of me! So I was thinking why not create my own game?? So tell me if this is a good idea. I do like science and I am very interests in the stock market and making money. So I'm thinking of creating a game where there is say brand new inventions that will help our health and economy and it'll be a board game just so you know, but anyways you go around the board and what not (this game will be made to be played in teams however, it will be like the president and the advisers so each team will be made of one person being the president and the other teammates are advisers) and you have options as to invest or not invest in the invention. Now keep in mind each invention can either lose or make money depending on how it affects the money and your life (in the game but it will be like a real life sort of thing). So this is just what I started brainstorming a couple of minutes ago. What do you think?
